Chitta Katha Lake
Overview
Burji La, nestled between Skardu and Deosai Plains, is renowned for its stunning panoramic views. From this pass, you can feast your eyes on the majestic beauty of K2, Mashabrum, Chogolisa, Laila Peak, Golden Peak, Nanga Parbat, GI, GII, GIV, and a section of Broad Peak. In the days of old, Burji La was a bustling pass, serving as a crucial route to connect Skardu with Astore Valley and Gultari Valley when there were no roads to these villages. The local elders in Skardu share stories of how Burji La was the lifeline for people from Astori and Gultari, providing access to Skardu in times when transportation was limited. To experience the enchanting Burji La, the journey typically begins from the expansive Deosai Plateau.
